My mental health improved

When my husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, it came as a huge surprise how tired I was emotionally and physically just taking care of my husband. There is a lot of cueing and trying to think one step ahead. Combined with the ever-changing moods he experienced, it took its toll.

Once the team from Choice Dementia Services started coming in, I was able to go back to my bridge club on a regular basis. I didn’t know how much I had missed the socializing and how important it was to my mental health.

One of Choice Dementia Services big differences is that one consistent HCA (Health Care Assistant) was assigned to my husband. He and I got to know this young woman and she us.

She understood what my husband needed and because she was here consistently.

Nothing beats one on one consistent care!!

Dementia can be a difficult disease to manage, both for the person who is diagnosed and for their loved ones.

Dementia can cause a person to become agitated, confused, and sometimes violent. This can be very hard on caregivers who are trying to provide care in the home.

Choice Dementia Services offers a wide range of services that can help make life easier for both the person with dementia and their caregivers. Our services include companion services, personal care services, homemaker services, and skilled care. We also offer specialized dementia therapy that can help improve the quality of life for those living with dementia.
