Dementia and COVID - Valentine's Day 2021
When you love someone who has Alzheimer’s or a related Dementia, holidays and celebrations can sometimes be difficult, and Valentine’s Day is no exception. Especially this year, with COVID still keeping many of us away from our loved ones, it can be incredibly hard.

Here are some ideas to show your loved one your love this Valentine’s Day.
-
Have flowers delivered - bright and colourful arrangements can provide extra stimulation.
-
Ask the staff to play a special CD filled with your loved ones favourite songs.
-
Arrange to FaceTime with your loved one, through the staff so they can see and hear your voice.
-
Put together a scrapbook or album on fond memories, family, vacations and happy times
We know it is not the same as being together, but the effort will not go unnoticed (even if it can’t be acknowledged).
With love,
The Choice Dementia team
