Bringing Your Loved One with Dementia Home
Have you gotten to the point where you just want to bring your loved one home and take care of them? I’m hearing this more and more!

I know from experience that when you made the decision to place your loved one with Alzheimer’s or a related Dementia into a long term care home, it was one of the hardest most gut wrenching of experiences. We want to make sure that our loved ones are cared for, and there are so many task, skills and potential risks that we aren’t aware of until we move into the role of caregiver. Caregiving can not only impact our mental and physical health but our self care as well.
In some cases, the potential for harm is far greater at the care homes especially now, the Coronavirus, overworked staff, or lack of staff to properly provide the care your loved one needs is at the highest for risk. 2020 has added this new layer to our decision making that means we need to look at other options.
There are options and support available for you if you have made the decision to bring your loved one home.
