$50-million allocated to National Strategy on Dementia

The Federal government announced its intention to release $50-million over 5 years to develop a National Strategy on Dementia. The goal of this strategy is to promote healthy living, thereby hoping to reduce the occurrence of dementia and promoting early diagnosis. As well, eliminating stigma that those with dementia deal with, and developing a skilled workforce, including researchers and care providers to properly support individuals and families.

You can read more about this strategy in this Globe and Mail article.
